Karen McDonald, PT, MDT


Karen McDonald graduated from The University of Scranton with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy in 1994. She has worked in outpatient orthopedics for over 15 years with a special interest in rehabilitation of the upper extremity and spine.

Over the years, Karen has shared her passion for education by assisting in several university level physical therapy classes, including physical agents and orthopedics. In 2003 Karen obtained a Certificate in Upper Extremity Rehabilitation from Hahnemann University. In 2010 she achieved the high distinction of becoming certified in Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment of the Spine (aka The McKenzie Method).

Karen is proud to have been with Dresher Physical Therapy for seven years. Currently she is developing a vestibular rehabilitation program for patients with dizziness and balance issues. Outside of work, Karen enjoys sports, exercise, reading, and spending time with her husband and three children.
